Wonderful results for Students at the Oxford International College of Beauty.

After months of hard work our January 2013 intake completed their beauty therapy course with international qualifications after taking their CIBTAC and CIDESCO exams. Students from around the World chose to join OICB in January 2013 for a 10 month intensive course in beauty therapy so they could go back home with the highest level of beauty therapy training from the UK. Overseas students are always popular in their home countries when they return from a year in England learning English cultures and emerging themselves in an English lifestyle. TsiTsi from Botswana is a perfect example of an ambitious young lady in her late 20s who wanted a career change and chose OICB to make it happen. She moved into student accommodation and settled into life in England making lots of friends and enjoying the social scene. Her ambitions and hard work lead her to win our most prestigious award, ‘CIDESCO Student of the Year 2013’. She now embarks on an exciting career that will take her around the world. Her first stop is working in Kuala Lumpa for an ex-OICB student who owns a spa, The London Orchid.

An assured future in some of the World’s leading Spas and Salons, students from the Oxford International College of Beauty are embarking on careers in the Beauty Industry.

Now they have the most prestigious beauty therapy qualifications in the World, the girls are preparing to work in various locations around the UK and World. Some examples are working for Virgin Active Tranquillity Spa in Oxford, for the Skincare Clinic in Witney, one will be working for a new MediSalon opening in the West Midlands specialising in Skin Care, one student in a spa in Kuala Lumpa and one student plans to return to Mauritius to work in her father’s Spa and Clinic.

Opportunities to travel overseas, to experience working in exotic locations, and for advancement in cosmetic science and machine technology, beauty therapy students from OICB literally do have the world at their feet!

Our CIDESCO exam results are already in, and our pass rate was 86% so well done to our girls who are now fully qualified! Congratulations go to our CIDESCO graduates who received exceptionally high results in their theory papers.

Congratulations to our Student Award Winners:

‘CIBTAC Student of the Year’ went to Shelly Hudson. Her prize was sponsored by Dermalogica.

‘CIDESCO Student of the Year’ went to TsiTsi Ngobeni. Her prize was sponsored by Decleor and Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics.

CHRISTMAS PARTY SEASON

As Christmas approaches, the students are preparing an open evening in their student salon to help clients prepare for the party season, and to assist with their Christmas shopping. They have lots of Spa Find Christmas sets to sell, and are enjoying the idea of hosting a Christmas Shopping Party with mulled wine, mince pies and treatment offers on the night. This event is being co-ordinated by Lizzie who is teaching the girls how to event plan so that they can be useful in their future salons and spas and focused on retailing.

Thursday 28th November 5-8pm. For tickets please call 01993 200033.
