Aesthetic Treatments, Electrical Epilation & Body Therapy Diploma Course This two year course is for those wishing to study part time and gain internationally recognised qualifications. The aesthetics, electrolysis & body therapy diploma provides a full range of treatments to international standards.
Year 1: course curriculum covers the applied anatomy and physiology, cosmetic science, facials, eyelash & eyebrows, manicures, pedicures, depilatory waxing, cosmetic makeup and electrolysis and business studies.
Course of study: 2 days 0900-1700 and ½ day 0900 - 1200 per week (17 hours) plus additional study at home
Year 2: course curriculum covers extensive study of anatomy & physiology of the body, massage, body treatments, dietetics, first aid, health, safety & hygiene and business studies.
Course of study: 2 days 0900-1700 and ½ day 0900 - 1200 (17 hours per week) plus additional study at home
BTEC NVQ Level 2 Course
Course of study: 1 day, 0900 - 1700 (7 hours per week) plus additional home study.
BTEC NVQ Level 3 Course
This part time course can be studied in individual units, so is ideal for those students with Level 2 who would like to add additional units to their qualifications, or those students who would like the full level. The course includes the anatomy and physiology of the body, studying all the major systems and a Swedish massage routine. Electrotherapy of the face and body is taught using galvanic, faradic, high frequency, vacuum suction, micro-current and G5. How to exfoliate and apply self tanning products to the face and body.
Course of study: 1 day 0900 - 1700 (7 hours per week) plus additional home study
Electrical epilation of the face and body is taught using the diathermy and blend methods.
Course of study: ½ day 0900 - 1200 (3 hours per week) plus additional home study .
